The surname should coincide exactly with the one written in the document, and you should respect accents and the language in which it is written.
Again the first letter should be in uppercase and the rest of the word in small and, in the event of double-barrelled surnames, the rule applies to every substantive, and they can be separated by spaces or dash signs (-); e.g.: López de Mederios, Sánchez-Cuesta.
